Tanah Lot

Tanah Lot has been part of Balinese mythology for centuries, it’s a temple that sits on a large offshore rock. It is one of destination to catch beautiful moments, the silhouette of Tanah Lot temple during sundown is one of the most beautiful and iconic scene of Bali, an image of a Balinese temple sit atop of rock, facing down the wide open ocean with dramatic colors of dusk sky and disappearing sun as the background.
Tanah Lot means Land in The Sea. Historically, it was built on the 16th Century by Dang Hyang Nirartha, a respected religious figure in Bali with supernatural power and purposely was built to worship Bhatara Segara – sea of God in Balinese myth. To protect the temple from evil intruders, Dang Hyang Nirartha created poisonous snake from his sash, it is believed to be living at the base of this rocky island.

Bali Butterfly Park

It is the biggest butterfly garden in Bali, in Indonesia and in Southeast Asia for the preservation and breeding butterflies and insects. Located in the tranquility of Tabanan Regency, there are hundreds of various species of butterfly in Tabanan Butterfly Park that both protected by law or unprotected.
To support the habitat, there are flower garden that are used as food and cultivate the butterfly. The area has 5 types of cages used during the process of breeding butterflies that you can visit. In addition to various kinds of butterflies, as part or Park attractions there are wide varieties of insect, such as Cobalt Blue Tarantula, Scorpion and other rare varieties of insects.

Museum Subak

The Subak Museum presents information relating to irrigation systems of traditional Balinese rice fields, called Subak. Subak is an organization owned and operated by the farmers on Bali island that especially manages water control or watering systems of rice paddy fields traditionally, the presence of Subak is a manifestation of the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, the concept of the balance of the three causes of happiness : God, human and nature.
Visitors will get complete information about how is the Subak irrigation system as well as the processing of paddy from start to finish. Such as how to open paddy fields, sharing the water, making the water tunnel, measuring the water lines as well as complete the process of religious rituals.
